Statement by H.E. the Minister of Digital Transformation and Communications On the Occasion of World Post Day 2026

10 Oct 2026

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

On World Post Day, we celebrate a sector that has connected people and bridged distances across generations, a sector that is evolving today to become an integral component of the digital economy, e-commerce, and government and logistics services ecosystem.

In Sudan, we view the postal sector as a vital catalyst in our digital transformation journey. We are dedicated to modernizing its services, enhancing its efficiency and reliability, and expanding its role to empower trade and facilitate seamless access to services across all parts of the country.

As digital services continue to expand, the integration of the postal sector with the broader government and economic framework becomes increasingly essential, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver more efficient, secure, and user-centric solutions.

On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all postal personnel, operators, and partners, acknowledging their relentless efforts in ensuring service continuity and driving continuous development.

We reaffirm our commitment to furthering the growth of this vital sector and solidifying its role within Sudan’s digital transformation roadmap.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
